Prof. Dr. Jana Sillmann contributes to WCRP Open Science Conference 2023

The World Climate Research Programme Open Science Conference (WCRP OSC) 2023 will take place in Kigali, Rwanda from 23 to 27 October 2023 with the overarching theme “Advancing Climate Science for a Sustainable Future”. Prof. Dr. Jana Sillmann, Professor of Climate Statistics and Climate Extremes at the Research Unit Sustainability and Climate Risks, is contributing to the Conference as one of the convenors of Session S27 on Hazards and Extreme events, and she will also be involved in Poster Session PC31. The WCRP Open Science Conference will bring together climate and environmental scientists, as well as related communities to discuss current developments in climate science and explore the transformative actions needed to ensure a sustainable future. After the Conference, the “Kigali Declaration” will be submitted to the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) taking place in the United Arab Emirates.
