As a climate science PhD, my research focuses on utilizing Bayesian hierarchical models to gain insights into precipitation extremes. Within my models, I construct intensity-duration-frequency curves, which serve as essential tools across various hydrology and engineering applications.
The data I use ranges from large ensemble climate models for model validation to convection-permitting models, allowing me to analyze different characteristics of extreme precipitation events, including convective precipitation.
