The impacts of climate change like heat waves, droughts, floods and severe storms play an increasingly important role. What do these extreme events mean for our lives and how can we better deal with the associated risks? These are issues that Prof. Dr. Jana Sillmann addresses in her research. She has been the new professor of "Climate Statistics and Climate Extremes" at the University of Hamburg since September 2021.
