School internship of Lilia Herbold at FNK

We welcomed Lilia Herbold from 8th to 26th of January at the FNK. She was interested in sustainability and the climate crisis and wanted to carry out a school internship in this field. Therefore, she started to search for institutions that deal with this topic. On the website of the “Universität Hamburg” she found the FNK.

Her task at the FNK was it mainly to research data about the alternatives to the herbicide glyphosate to compare them with each other. Asked about what she gained from her time at FNK, she answered:

“I got exclusive insights during my internship in science I never would’ve gotten. Besides that, I learned about various projects and had very interesting conversations with the scientists. I am really grateful for my time at the FNK and want to thank you all for that.“
