Prof. Jana Sillmann appointed as Review Editor in new IPCC Report

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has selected 664 experts from around the world to participate as Coordinating Lead Authors, Lead Authors and Review Editors in the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7). Prof. Jana Sillmann who is leading the Climate Extremes research group at the Research Unit Sustainability and Climate Risks is one of the appointed Review Editors for Working Group II dealing with impacts, adaptation and vulnerability for Chapter 3 on “Current adaptation progress, effectiveness and adequacy”.
The IPCC was founded in 1988 by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). It is the international body for assessing climate research and provides policymakers with regular assessments of the scientific basis of climate change, its impacts and future risks, as well as options for adaptation and mitigation.
